31DC2013 Day 16

Its day 16 and today is Tribal Print.  I explored with acrylics a bit yesterday and got the hang of the basics; hearts, flowers, lines.  I tried my hand at some tribal stuff, but think I should get a hang of the basics first.  I decided to revert to my trusty stamping plates.  I used BM 221 as I am sure many others are using today!  I used 3 Sinful Colors; Clementine, Dream On, and Endless Blue.  Add a little black tribal stamp and there ya go!

31DC2013 Day 2

Yesterday was the start of the 31 Day Challenge hosted by Chalkboard Nails.  I saw a post saying it was coming a few days ago but couldn't decide weather or not to participate.  31 days is very intimidating.  I thought about it and finally decided to sit by the side lines...until I saw the posts start coming in yesterday.  I saw every blog I follow participating in the challenge and they inspired me to give it a go!  I made this decision around 5-ish last night and was going to slap some red polish on, but decided it was just too late.  Instead I got to working on my orange nails for today!

What I like about these challenges is what everyone else likes; I am pushed to try new things.  I recently purchased a bunch of nail art supplies such and they have been just sitting around.  Now I have a good reason to try them out!  For todays orange challenge I decided to do a half moon mani with some 3D nail art.  I used Sinful Colors Clementine and Lime Crime Peaches ♥ Cream with 2 cute little 3D oranges.
